wateraid appoints mischief for christmas FUNDRAISING campaign

Mischief wins Wateraid Christmas charity campaign

International charity WaterAid has appointed Mischief to lead its activity during the festive giving season.

Mischief has been appointed by international charity WaterAid, following a competitive pitch, to deliver a festive campaign that highlights the work of the global water charity and drives support for its winter appeal.

The campaign, which will run in early December, will be focused on raising awareness and funds to support WaterAid’s goal of helping communities across the world get clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene.

It will be delivered via an integrated digital-first campaign, intended to highlight the central role that water plays in life and ensure WaterAid is front of mind during the festive giving season, while showcasing the tangible impact of donations.

Laura Crowley, senior PR manager at WaterAid, said: “Our collaboration with Mischief will bring our winter appeal to life in a fresh and creative way, highlighting how clean water is central to all our lives. By combining powerful storytelling with digital innovation, we hope to inspire generosity this Christmas and drive support for our life-changing work with communities around the world.”

Mischief managing director Charlotte Brooks said: “We’re incredibly proud to be working with WaterAid on this important Christmas campaign. WaterAid’s mission is vital, and the festive period is a powerful moment to engage hearts and minds. We’re excited to bring our creativity and strategic thinking to a cause that truly matters.”

PRWeek UK understands that WaterAid typically handles its day-to-day PR strategy in-house, while enlisting agencies on a project basis for major fundraising campaigns.
